Slips

Don't look where you fall, but where you slipped.

— African Proverb —

What a great Proverb!

The “fall” begins with the slip.

In the world of recovery we know we are either growing in recovery or slipping into relapse. There is no in-between.

This holds true for all of us regardless of whether we are an addict or not. We are either growing closer to, or farther away from our goals and dreams.

One of the reasons I saddle up with God every day is I’ve come too far to ever want to fall back.

God gives me traction and helps prevent me from slipping.

How is your life looking these days?

Are you in “slip-mode” about to fall back, or are you committed to doing whatever it takes to continue to grow and gain traction toward the achievement of your dreams?

Psalm 121:1-2, “I lift up my eyes to the hills–where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
