Running

Sad is a life spent running away from problems not realizing the problem is you.

— JMeyer —

I figured this out many years ago while sitting alone one evening in a chemical dependency center.  I was at the end of my “run” and the end was rock bottom.

It was in that moment I made a vow to no longer blame my problems on other people, places and things, but instead begin taking responsibility for my life.

Although I can get into the rat race just as easy as anyone, I try my best to always know what I am running to (my goals), and Who I am running for (God).

Do you find yourself running from things these days?  Take some time to reflect and inventory whether you always seem to be running from your problems.  If you are, the “problem” is most likely found in you…I write from experience.

Philippians 3:13-14, “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.  But one thing I do:  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
