Practice Makes Luck

Practice puts brains in your muscles.

Today marks the end of week 19 out of 30 weeks of training for Ironman Maryland.

Yesterday my training consisted of a four hour bike ride…and it was hot!

But what was amazing is I had my best ride to date.

It is so cool to see my training pay off.

Lessons learned from this week of training and competing:

  1. Whatever you are trying to accomplish find someone who’s been there and pick their brain and put a plan together. The brain I picked for my triathlon plan is Don Fink’s. Actually I read his book and I’m following a training program in the book. He is an internationally known triathlon athlete and coach.
  2. Stick to the plan.

Philippians 4:9, “What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
