Perseverance – Day 17 – Limits

The sky is not the limit...I am.

— T. F. Hodge —

imageAs I mentioned at the outset of this journey about perseverance, I have several friends battling cancer right now.  Their collective positive outlook on life simply blows me away.

They view their challenge with cancer as just that…a challenge they intend to conquer.

The ability to overcome our self-imposed limits is the first step in being able to experience the type of life God wants us to live.

I often find myself cringing inside when I am talking to someone who speaks in terms of “if only.”  If only I had more money, an understanding boss a better childhood, etc…

The two words “if only” are the two biggest cop-out words in the English language.  “Someday I’ll,” is a close second.

Our limits are our limits.

Proverbs 26:13, “The sluggard says, “There is a lion in the road! There is a lion in the streets!”
