More and More Action

Never mistake motion for action.

— Ernest Hemingway —

Hmm…one of my blog followers must need a little “boost” as this is the third day in a row I’ve touched on action.

Years ago I remember reading a Tom Hopkins book where he challenged his readers to get up every morning and say to themselves; “Today I will do the most productive thing possible at every given moment.”

I actually utilize this phrase during my morning prayer and I ask God, to help me do the most productive thing possible at every given moment as a Christian soldier.

How about you, is your life simply in motion, or is it a life of action?

Take a look at what type of fruit your days are throwing off to the world and that will tell you whether or not you are in motion or in action.

Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men,” (ESV)

Galatians 5:22, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.” (NIV)
