Mistakes and Choices

You can never make the same mistake twice because the second time you make it, it's not a mistake, it's a choice.

— Steven Denn —

We become the decisions and choices we make in our life.

Our decisions are born from our beliefs.

For example, I believe sleep is a VERY important piece of my Ironman Maryland journey. Because of that belief I make the decision every night to go to bed no later than 10pm.

I also believe spending quiet time with God in the morning is the most important part of my day. Therefore, I get up at 5:30AM every day and spend time reading scripture, journaling and praying.

I also believe driving on the interstate is a race and my driving decisions reflect this belief…my dear wife is working hard to get me to let go of this belief and believe that driving on the interstate is not a race. 🙂

Do you see what I’m getting at?

What choices do you need to quit making?

What beliefs tie to those choices?
