A couple of days ago I posted the following picture on my Facebook page and wrote: “We take so much for granted.”
I’m sure most of you are aware of the ALS ice bucket challenge that has raised millions of dollars and brought a significant amount of awareness to this horrible disease. When I saw this picture I could not help but post it for no other reason than the good Lord would want me to. It is easy to turn our heads the other way when confronted with real life issues that make us feel uncomfortable.
This post is not against the ice bucket challenge, it is for being in touch with how good most of us have it and how tough life is for others. There is no bigger gluttonous/consumptuous nation in the world than the U.S…and yes I live here and I’m just as guilty as the next…but this picture made me pause and realize how lucky I am…I hope it does the same for you.
