Crushing Fear – Day 34 – Ruts

The only difference between a rut and a grave are the dimensions.

DSC_6505Procrastination, obstacles, distractions and indecision are all tools the devil uses in order to get us to create ruts in our life.

What is scary is how easy it is to feel comfortable in a rut.  In essence we view the pain of staying in a rut as being less than the pain associated with change.

The bad news is, the longer we stay in a rut, the longer and deeper it becomes.  Our inactivity and unwillingness to change serves as a shovel that keeps on digging.

The devil loves ruts as it truly is a grave without dimensions.

Stop digging and start praying for the willingness to climb out of your rut.  God has a new and beautiful groove waiting for you…I write from experience.

Ephesians 1:11 (NIV), “Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.”

Reflection:

What beliefs, thoughts and actions cause you to struggle with getting out of ruts?

Additional Scripture to read and reflect upon:  Proverbs 3:5, Isaiah 55:8-9, Proverbs 1:7
