Character

Character isn't something you were born with and can't change, like your fingerprints. It's something you weren't born with and must take responsibility for forming.

— Jim Rohn —

Character is the ability to handle the demands of reality without cheating or taking short cuts.

It is staying true to your principles when the world tells you principles are “things of the past.”

Character is formed when we are doing what we know we need to do when we don’t want to do it.

Building character takes work.

If you want to make the most of yourself it will not happen if you aren’t building your character along the way.

1 Samuel 16:7, “But the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him.  For the Lord sees not as man sees:  man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”  (ESV)
